My teaching career started in June 1997 as a tutor in the Department of Information Systems at Faculty of Computer Science and Information Systems, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. In September 1998, I was appointed as a lecturer after receiving my Master Degree in Computer Science from UTM. In April 2002, I went to University Of Manchester, United Kingdom for my PhD study in the area of website trust and e-commerce. I returned to the  faculty on May 2006, upon receiving my PhD.

My teaching responsibilities include the undergraduate and postgraduate program. My favorite subjects are Database, IT Planning and Management, IT for Organization Transformation, and Research Methodology. Other teaching responsibilities include supervising students in their thesis. Every semester I supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate projects from my faculty. I usually get about 5 – 10 final year undergraduate students and 2 – 4 postgraduate students to supervise per semester. The projects that I supervised mainly were in the area of information systems application, databases, and e-Commerce.

I have also been involved in the administration in the faculty; as a Program Coordinator for Master in IT and Management at my faculty since July 2006 until 2008.  From 2010 onward, UTM as a Research University encourages their staff to focus on high impact research activity. With this direction, I manage to graduate 10 PhD students via single supervision. During this period, I am also granted 4 Research University grants as Principal Investigator. I have to my credit 5 papers in ISI journals, 13 papers in SCOPUS journals and more than 30 papers in open access online article such as IEEE Xplorer.

I also get involved in designing the curriculum for a course in the  department namely, Bachelor of Data Engineering. We have produced a proposal for this course following IEEE and ACM guidelines. One of my significant contribution to my faculty is proposing and implementing 2u2i undergraduate program for Bachelor Degree in Data Engineering. This happens during my appointment as Undergraduate Academic Manager from September 2015 to June 2016.
