Assalamualaikum and good day,
I am Aizat Azmi, a lecturer in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), specializing in the Power Engineering. Beside that, I serve as a research fellow at the Institute of High Voltage & High Current (IVAT), where my research focuses on high voltage engineering, with particular emphasis on dielectric insulation.
Having recently completed my inaugural semester of teaching, I bring to UTM a blend of academic and industrial experience. Prior to my academic appointment, I worked as an R&D Engineer at TDK Electronic (Malaysia) and as a Process Engineer at Western Digital. These roles have provided me with a profound understanding of the practical applications of electrical engineering, which I strive to integrate into my teaching practice.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the principles of respect and collaboration. I am dedicated to cultivating a learning environment where students are treated with respect, thereby fostering a culture in which they feel valued and actively engaged. Furthermore, I emphasize collaborative learning as a means to build a supportive academic community that encourages the exchange of knowledge and promotes mutual growth.
In applying these principles, my aim is to contribute to the development of students not only as proficient professionals but also as responsible individuals capable of making meaningful contributions to society and the nation.
