Dr AMIR PUTRA BIN MD SAAD<\/strong> graduated with a B.Eng. and an Msc. in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in biomechanical engineering, successfully completing his studies in 2017 at the same prestigious university. Currently, he holds the position of senior lecturer in the Department of Applied Mechanics and Design and serves as the Head of the Engineering Design Research Group (EDRG) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. With a deep passion for engineering design and mechanics, Dr Amir specializes in biomechanical engineering, computational bone mechanics, biomedical implants, porous bone scaffolds, and biodegradable materials. His expertise is further complemented by a year-long professional engineering practical experience in agricultural engineering and technology with Sime Darby Plantation Research (SDPR), where he contributed to the development of integration harvesting machine solutions.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_blurb title=”Research Group” image=”https:\/\/people.utm.my\/amirputra\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/928\/2020\/03\/edrg-finalized-logo.png” admin_label=”edrg” _builder_version=”4.22.1″ header_font=”Allerta Stencil|700|||||||” header_text_align=”center” header_text_color=”#8324db” text_orientation=”justified” header_text_shadow_style=”preset1″ global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Engineering Design Research Group (EDRG)<\/strong> is a Research Group focused on expanding and understanding the design process in a practical way, facilitating the creation of new products and technologies.
