Cristiano Ronaldo is always the main focus of attention whenever Real Madrid play but it was Karim Benzema’s time to shine in their match against Borussia Dortmund.
Benzema bagged two goals at the Bernabeu as Real Madrid opened up a 2-0 lead – although the Germans struck back to take top spot with a 2-2 draw.
Not only that, the brace took the French striker on to 50 Champions League goals – a fact marked by a slew of congratulatory tweets.
