The hip injury caused Murray to pull out of his first match at Hurlingham against Lucas Pouille, which had been due to be played on Tuesday.
It had been expected that he would play on Friday but he has confirmed that he is going to have to miss the match.
“Sadly I won’t be ready to play at Hurlingham tomorrow, my hip is still sore and I need to rest it today, and likely tomorrow,” Murray said.
Murray reiterated that he expects to be fine for the start of Wimbledon on Monday, where he is the top seed and defending champion, but his preparation for his title defence has been far from ideal.

Murray was knocked out at Queen’s in the first round by world number 90 Jordan Thompson.
He will have played just that match on grass when he begins his Wimbledon campaign on Monday.
