SEPANG, June 9 (Bernama) — The remand order against 32 Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) students who were detained by the police in connection with the death of a student of the university last June 1 has been extended until June 14.

The order to further remand the students, from today until June 14, was issued by Magistrate Sharifah Muhaymin Abdul Khalib during a proceeding at the Sepang district police headquarters.

However, four Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten) students who were detained in connection with the case were released on police bail, lawyer Sukhdave Singh Kashmir Singh, who represented three of the Uniten students, told reporters when met at the police headquarters,
