PICTURES: Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho breaks down in tears after scoring for Brazil
A back injury may have ruled Philippe Coutinho out of Liverpool’s opening Premier League games, but it did not prevent him for scoring for Brazil in the early hours of Friday morning.
It also appeared to get a bit too much for the midfielder, as he tried to hold back the tears following a long old transfer window…

Of course, this ‘back injury’ has been cover for the fact that he is trying to force through a move to Barcelona.
And while the transfer window has closed in England, there’s still a day for something to happen in Spain – could he finally get his way?
It seems unlikely, but Liverpool fans won’t be too pleased to see the midfielder come off the bench to score for Brazil against Ecuador. Not sure how they’ll feel about the tears, either…

Coutinho is a serious candidate for man of the match and that’s saying much considering he came on as a sub. He’s crucial in midfield.

Looked like Coutinho was crying during his celebration. Hopefully he comes out after the game and says he wants to go to Barça.
