Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero looks set for a spell on the sidelines after being hurt in a car crash in Amsterdam.

The Argentine was returning from a gig in the Dutch capital on Thursday night when his taxi crashed into a pole, with early reports suggesting he fractured ribs.

While City are yet to put a timeframe on his recovery, it is almost certain he will miss Saturday’s clash with Chelsea in the Premier League – and that has left some fans miffed.
Glad Aguero isn’t too badly hurt but serious questions need asking about why he’s in another country 24 hours before playing the champions.

Still, while it’s probably not the best pre-match routine, we should add that attending a gig in Amsterdam is hardly the biggest sin – after all, it is only an 80-minute flight back to Manchester.
