KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 (Bernama) — A Kuala Lumpur-bound Malaysia Airlines flight, which had to turn back to Melbourne on Wednesday due to a “disruptive” passenger, has been rescheduled to depart the Australian city at 8pm local time today.<\/p>\n
Malaysia Airlines Berhad said in a statement today that the flight operating as MH128D is expected to arrive at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 2.35am Malaysian time tomorrow.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, passengers with “critical onward connections” have been allocated seats on MH148, departing Melbourne at 1.55pm local time today.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, three Malaysia Airlines flights are scheduled to depart Melbourne today, and the Australian Security authorities have screened all baggage.<\/p>\n
“Malaysia Airlines technical and cabin crew that operated MH128\/31 May will not operate on flights until further notice. A fresh set of crew will be operating MH128D,” the statement said.<\/p>\n
“An investigation (into Wednesday’s incident) led by Australian authorities is currently underway and Malaysia Airlines wishes to extend its appreciation to everyone involved during the emergency situation,” it said.<\/p>\n
The cabin crew with the help of a passenger had restrained the trouble-causing passenger aboard Flight MH128 who was immediately handcuffed and subdued.<\/p>\n
The flight had been expected to arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 5.28am today.<\/p>\n
