Alarm1 and Timer1 sound like simple tones that HomePod users might be able to choose from when setting up timers in their kitchens. The rest are a bit more unclear, although each Setup file is likely related to the initial pairing process of HomePod and a user&#8217;s iPhone.<center><\/p>\n<div id=\"video-wrapper\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yy-QMMv4Xlk\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/center><br \/>\n<br \/>HomePod firmware-related reveals have been steadily rolling out since Saturday, revealing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2017\/07\/30\/homepod-firmware-face-detection\/\">general design of the iPhone 8<\/a>, referencing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2017\/07\/31\/iphone-8-homepod-firmware-no-touch-id-tap-to-wake\/\">&#8220;split&#8221; status bar<\/a>, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2017\/08\/01\/skiing-workout-apple-watch\/\">potential new Apple Watch skiing workouts<\/a>, and more. Magnotti himself <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2017\/07\/31\/homepod-firmware-leak-display-ram\/\">revealed<\/a> yesterday that the HomePod&#8217;s Siri display measures in at 272 x 340.<\/p>\n<p>The reason that there are so many iPhone and Apple Watch bits of news coming out of the new HomePod firmware is because Apple&#8217;s smart speaker will run on a modified version of iOS when it launches, and the firmware being investigated by developers relates to iOS 11.0.2.
