As you can tell from the thread above, this method requires a bit of legwork. But, there is an easier way.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet tw-align-centre\" data-lang=\"en\" readability=\"4.5\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">Here&#8217;s a quick TamperMonkey script that force enables 280 character tweets in the Twitter web client.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/uUhW0CKekS\">https:\/\/t.co\/uUhW0CKekS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Prof. 9 (@Prof9) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Prof9\/status\/912859110776950784\">September 27, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Twitter user <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Prof9\/status\/912859110776950784\">@prof9<\/a> tweeted a link to a Tampermonkey script for Chrome that&#8217;s much easier to set up, and offers the same result: Longer tweets. To get it working, first install <a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/tampermonkey\/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo?hl=en\">Tampermonkey<\/a>, and then head to this <a href=\"https:\/\/gist.github.com\/Prof9\/c16fc4997e0ef5b22a15c43edd7f5f49\">Github repository<\/a> and click the raw button to install the script. Be sure to enable it in Tampermonkey, and then hit up Twitter.com and tweet away. All the current <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Zemnmez\/status\/912876877391335424\">methods<\/a> floating around are related to the Twitter web client.
