In science and engineering disciplines, the results are typically combined with the discussion section, which enables the interpretation and explanation of the data.

A well-written Results and Discussion should have 4 parts as follow: (please refer attached figure).

PART 1: Presenting results
PART 2: Interpretation of trends/results
PART 3: Discussion and argument
PART 4: Supporting statement
