{"id":1615,"date":"2017-08-20T10:28:18","date_gmt":"2017-08-20T02:28:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/people.utm.my\/azlans\/?p=1615"},"modified":"2017-08-20T10:28:18","modified_gmt":"2017-08-20T02:28:18","slug":"phu-yen-university-students-visit-faculty-of-education-utm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/people.utm.my\/azlans\/phu-yen-university-students-visit-faculty-of-education-utm\/","title":{"rendered":"Phu Yen University students visit Faculty of Education UTM"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<p class=\"entry-meta\">August 3, 2017\u00a0by\u00a0<span class=\"entry-author\"><a class=\"entry-author-link\" href=\"http:\/\/news.utm.my\/author\/sabri\/\" rel=\"author\"><span class=\"entry-author-name\">Office of Corporate Affairs<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>JOHOR BAHRU, 3 August 2017 \u2013 A delegation from Phu Yen University, Vietnam led by Vice Dean of Faculty of Foreign Language, Ms Bangtam Le came to Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for 10 days to participate in an international study visit program.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_27499\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-27499 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Pic-1-551x366.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"366\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Phu Yen University students performing culture show.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The delegation comprised of four lecturers and 10 undergraduate students from Faculty of Foreign Language, Phu Yen University.<\/p>\n<p>The program was initiated after a Letter of Cooperation between Faculty of Education, UTM and Phu Yen University was signed in April 2017. \u00a0The program was from 24th July 2017 until 2nd August 2017.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_27500\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-27500 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Pic-2-551x366.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"366\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Another performing art by\u00a0Phu Yen University students.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Among the workshops held at Faculty of Education for the visitors were workshops on Teaching ESL\/EFL Writing, Introduction to UTM Toastmasters Club, The Use of Educational Technology in Teaching, Higher Order Thinking Skills in Teaching, Introduction to Malaysian Culture &amp; Language and 21st Century Teaching and Learning Approaches.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_27501\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-27501 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Pic-4-551x366.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"366\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The delegation capturing the moment with dean and Faculty of Education team members.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In order to enrich their experiences on the process of teaching and learning English in Malaysia, they also had the opportunities to visit two secondary schools namely SMK Mutiara Rini 2 and SMK Medini.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, a visit to Imagineering Institute Iskandar Puteri was also arranged for them.
