The book is a follow-up to \u201cThe Global Economy in Turbulent Times\u201d which was launched in 2015. The essays within \u201cTurbulence in Trying Times. What Are We to Do?\u201d pick up on developments covering the recent past two-and-a-half years until 2017. \u00a0Hoping to initiate a conversation among readers and with leaders on serious global problems (especially in Asia), the book gives an account of world affairs since the beginning of 2015.<\/p>\n

The book is a culmination of Professor Tan Sri Dr Lin\u2019s 50 years of experience in economics which includes consultations with high-level policy analysts and immersion in core domestic policy discussions.\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Tan Sri Dr Lin is a Harvard educated economist, a British Chartered Scientiest and Malaysia\u2019s first UK Chartered Statistician. \u00a0Holding three post-graduate degrees from Harvard University including a PhD in Economics, he is currently Pro-Chancellor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).<\/p>\n
