KFAS is a non-profit organization founded in 1974.<\/p>\n<p>To date, KFAS has awarded 50 academic members from Asian countries with grants to conduct short-term research (six months to one year) in any field, in collaboration with professors and researchers at leading universities and academic institutions in South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Among the incentives given are monthly stipend, initial settlement support, accident insurance, publication incentives anda\u00a0 round-trip airfare to and from Seoul.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Abdul Halim will begin his Fellowship for six months starting from 1st March 2019 to 31st August 2019 and will be attached to Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-40328\" src=\"https:\/\/news.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/dr-halim-551x413.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 13, 2019\u00a0by\u00a0Hafizan Hamzah JOHOR BAHRU, 7 Jan. \u2014 Universiti Teknologi Malaysia\u2019s (UTM) senior lecturer and researcher from School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Abdul Halim Abdullah has been awarded the 2018-2019 International Scholar Exchange Fellowship (ISEF) from Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS).
