Professor Dr Yamaguchi, Engineer Ishibashi, and Researcher Dr Miyaoka from<br \/>\nWaseda University, Tokyo, Japan came to UTM on the 17 th of January, the main purpose of<br \/>\nwhich was to view the potential locations where 2 Daikin heat pumps will be placed.<br \/>\nComplete with all measuring devices and 2 separate data loggers, the heat pumps will be<br \/>\nthe gifts from Waseda University<span id=\"more-40433\"><\/span>\u00a0in the research collaboration stated in the Memorandum<br \/>\nof Agreement (MOA). This MOA is still under consideration by UTM, where on-site data in humid tropical<br \/>\nMalaysian climate will be collected and shared. Similar units will be placed at\u00a0 Universiti<br \/>\nIndonesia at Depok and the University of Philippines.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-40434\" src=\"https:\/\/news.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Waseda-Univ-E05-551x310.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"310\" \/><br \/>\nThe Waseda University team together with the researchers from the School of Mechanical<br \/>\nEngineering (Prof Dr Normah Mohd Ghazali, Assoc. Prof. Dr Haslinda Mohamed Kamar,<br \/>\nAssoc. Prof Dr Nazri Kamsah, and Dr Ummikalsom Abidin) visited two possible sites for the<br \/>\nplacement of the 2 heat pump units. For a real load pattern, the first location is in a house in<br \/>\nTaman Pulai Utama \u2013 the three visitors and the house owner had a serious discussion on the<br \/>\nbest position which involves on-the-spot engineering drawing as well as pros and cons of<br \/>\nprospective sites to finally pin point the exact position where a unit of the heat pump will be<br \/>\ninstalled sometime in May of 2019.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-40435\" src=\"https:\/\/news.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Waseda-Univ-in-FKM-551x413.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February 14, 2019\u00a0by\u00a0NORMAH MOHD GHAZALI Assoc.
