Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Azman Mohamed and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Hafizah from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Faculty of Civil Engineering attended the 4th International Conference on Sustainable Development in Civil Engineering (ICSDCE) at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, Pakistan. Presided by Dr. Ali Raza Khoso, the event was highly fruitful, featuring enriching technical sessions and activities on sustainable infrastructure.
A highlight was meeting UTM alumni at the event, reconnecting with former students now contributing to Pakistan’s engineering landscape, and exchanging updates on career progress and research synergies.
The duo engaged in productive discussions with MUET’s Vice Chancellor, exploring opportunities for joint research, publications, and academic collaborations in civil engineering advancements.
Beyond the conference, they toured DHA City Karachi, observing cutting-edge urban planning and development projects. The visit also offered cultural immersion, including a tour of the prominent Memon business empire in Jamshoro, highlighting local economic dynamics.
This trip fostered valuable international networks and insights into sustainable engineering practices and regional culture.
