Specialization<\/strong>: Concrete Block Pavement<\/span><\/h3>\n

With an extensive background in both industry and academia, Dr. Azman is a key contributor to the advancement of Civil Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His industry experience, spanning roles as a Quantity Surveyor, Site Supervisor, and Site Engineer with companies such as Soon Fong Construction Works Sdn. Bhd., Teknik Cekap Construction Sdn. Bhd., Technoventure Co. Ltd., and Gamuda Berhad, informs his current research and teaching practices. Since joining UTM in 1998 as a Tutor, Dr. Azman has been an influential figure in the academic landscape.<\/span><\/h4>\n

At UTM, Dr. Azman has held various leadership roles, including serving as an Academic Advisor, Head of the Highway Engineering Laboratory, and a member of UTM Kuala Lumpur Development Committee. His contributions to academic development, including program creation and quality assurance, earned him the UTM Excellent Service Award in 2005 and 2022. Also from faculty, Special Dean Award 2021 and Special Award 2024.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      Dr. Azman Bin Mohamed <\/strong>is a Senior lecturer in Civil Engineering Faculty, UTM Skudai, Johor with specialization in Concrete Block Pavement. He had working experience before joining UTM as a Quantity Surveyor, Site Supervisor and Site Engineer with Soon Fong Construction Works Sdn. Bhd, Teknik Cekap Construction Sdn. Bhd, Technoventure Co. Ltd and Gamuda Berhad. He started his career with UTM in 1998 as a Tutor for the Program of Diploma Studies (PPD) at UTM Kuala Lumpur. He has extensive experience in various academic management posts, such as an Academic Advisor, Academic Committee in faculty, Head of Highway Engineering Laboratory and UTM Kuala Lumpur Development Committee. He also has experience in developing new programs and revising existing programs of studies. He was involved in quality assurance monitoring such as quality visits to colleges under a joint program with UTM. In respect of his excellent service at the PPD, he received the Excellent Service Award from UTM in 2005.<\/p>\n

      Dr. Azman has a PhD in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Traffic and Highway. He is the recipient of SLAI and SLAB scholarships from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (MOHE) for research studies. In UTM, he is a member of the Pavement & Transportation Research Group in the Construction Research Alliance. His research interests are in underside shaped of concrete blocks, paver blocks, filler materials between blocks, pavement @ highway\u00a0 engineering, concrete materials, recycled concrete aggregates and concrete block pavement application.<\/p>\n\n\n
