Officially on the 14th October 2020, I was appointed as the YSN-ASM affiliate member. YSN-ASM is a network of top-notch young scientists in Malaysia who have the capability to strengthen the scientific community and contribute innovation and science-based policy ideas. It provides a solid platform for outstanding young Malaysian scientists from diverse scientific backgrounds and expertise to interact, coordinate, organize and rise to national and international challenges. It is also a platform for young scientists to collaborate nationally and internationally, which will positively impact Malaysia\u2019s science, technology and innovation ecosystem and society at large in tandem. YSN-ASM affiliateship is awarded to young, independent researchers who reflect the highest levels of research excellence with a demonstrated passion for delivering impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
YSN-ASM at the core is the binding force that provides the gravitational pull, unifying everything and everyone under the ASM umbrella in addressing the national agenda. As a new appointed affiliate member of YSN-ASM, I will try my best to give full commitment towards realising YSN-ASM\u2019s 2018-2021 Strategic Plan which are;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 SP1: Researchers: Empowering young researchers as strategic partners and agents of
change in shaping the national research agenda.
\u2022 SP2: Research Ecosystem: Fostering integrity and research excellence support
network throughout the ecosystem.
\u2022 SP3: Progressive Society: Building a progressive society that embraces Science,
Technology and Innovation as a way of life.
\u2022 SP4: Glocalisation: Playing a prominent role in international and local alliances to
tackle national and global challenges.
