Dr. Farabi Iqbal is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where he has served since 2009. He holds a B.Eng. (Hons) in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Telecommunications and an M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electronics and Telecommunications, both from UTM, Malaysia. He later completed his Ph.D. in Telecommunications at TU Delft in the Netherlands. His work focuses on improving the performance of optical networks, especially in network routing, resiliency and optimization.
