Aircraft Structures

This course gives students an understanding of the basic principles in the analysis of aircraft structural components and the determination of their strengths under the various operational loading conditions. It covers the areas of thin plate analysis, analysis of structural instability, introduction to the analysis of unidirectional composites, introduction to aeroelasticity, and fatigue of aircraft structures. It is a blended course that combines traditional teaching methods with a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach based on real problems of aircraft structures.
