The Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences (IOES) at Universiti Malaya, in collaboration with UPM, is organizing a workshop entitled “Application of -Omics Technologies for Understanding Microbial Response to Environmental Stress”. The workshop will be held on 15-18 March 2016, at the Institute of Graduate Studies, UM Kuala Lumpur.<\/div>\n

We are pleased to invite postgraduate students and early career researchers who are interested in stress response and the application of transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and metagenomics in microorganisms, particularly in the context of ecological and environmental studies.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Local and international experts will give introductory lectures and guidelines on designing experiments, as well as provide a hands-on training session on the isolation and identification of soil microfungi, which are key players in the soil ecosystem.<\/div>\n
