Connected smart homes, smart cars and wearable devices, as part of IoT\u00a0<\/em><em>mobile infrastructure, are all changing the way we interact with our virtual and\u00a0<\/em><em>physical worlds and spanning everything from stick-on sensors that will support\u00a0<\/em><em>better lifestyle, productivity and enjoyment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>No doubt researchers need to play an incredibly important role, tapping into their\u00a0<\/em><em>creativity, and bringing new and innovative IoT enabled applications to life in a good\u00a0<\/em><em>manner, where several types of sensors is required to be set up and\u00a0managed for\u00a0<\/em><em>many applications, from smart agriculture, smart health, smart energy, smart\u00a0<\/em><em>manufacturing, smart Industry, smart home, smart office to smart city environments.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This course will introduce the participants onto how to jump in to IoT research, with\u00a0<\/em><em>some hands-on practices using Intel Galileo and other sensors including GasSensor,\u00a0<\/em><em>Humidity and Temperature sensor, Soil Moisture sensor, Gesture and\u00a0<\/em><em>Distance sensor, Ultrasonic sensor, etc .
