ECBS 2017 is a formal meeting dedicated to formulating and advancing
\nmethods, techniques, and tools for engineering of computer-based systems.
\nThe conference is devoted to the design, development, deployment, and
\nanalysis of the complex systems whose behavior is largely determined or
\ncontrolled by computers. Such systems are characterized by functional,
\nperformance, and reliability requirements that mandate the tight integration
\nof information processing and physical processes.<\/p>\n

ECBS integrates software, hardware, and communication perspective of
\nsystem engineering through its many facets that include system modeling,
\nrequirements specification, simulation, architectures, safety, security,
\nreliability, human\u0096computer interaction, system integration, verification and
\nvalidation, high performance\/parallel computing, cloud-based technologies,
\nand project management. The conference provides a bridge between industry
\nand academia, blending academic research and industrial development.<\/p>\n

The proceedings will be published in the International Conference
\nProceedings Series of ACM and after the conference they will be accessible in
\nthe ACM Digital Library. A Best Paper Award will be presented to the best
\npaper presented at the conference, and a Best Student Paper Award will be
\npresented to the best paper written solely or mostly by students.<\/p>\n

Industrial reports of practical solutions, trends, and new system
\ncharacteristics for ECBS, taking an integrated systems approach, are
\nparticularly welcome. They may target application domains such as:
\nAerospace Systems, Command and Control, Continuous and Discrete
\nManufacturing, Environmental Systems, Instrumentation and Control
\nApplications, Internet Technology and Applications, Intelligent Highway-
\nVehicle Systems (IHVS), Medical Systems, High Performance Computing
\nDevelopment Environments and Applications, and Telecommunications.<\/p>\n

Submission of Papers
\n<\/b>
\nThe conference solicits regular (no more than 10 pages) and short papers (no
\nmore than 4 pages). The Program Committee may require an accepted paper
\nto be adapted into a short paper or extended abstract (no more than 2 pages
\nand poster presentation only). All papers must be prepared according to the
\nACM SIG Proceedings Template format (see the conference web site for
\nfurther information). The papers must be original contributions not submitted
\nor accepted for publication elsewhere. A submitted contribution should
\nclearly indicate the conference topics it targets. For an accepted contribution
\nto be included in the proceedings, at least one author must register and
\npresent the paper at the conference. For further information, see the
\nsubmission guidelines on the conference web site.<\/p>\n
