\n<\/b>
\nThe internationally recognized ADBIS conference<\/span> already for 21 years is
\ngathering researchers and practitioners around topics related to databases<\/span>,
\ndata processing, and information<\/span> systems<\/span>, in general. The conference<\/span> is run
\nin Europe but attracts researchers from all over the world. The 21st<\/span> ADBIS
\nconference<\/span> will be held in Nicosia, Cyprus. The conference<\/span> is accompanied
\nby satellite events, including PhD consortia and workshops.<\/p>\n

WORKSHOPS<\/b><\/p>\n

Typically, workshops focus on multiple topics related to data storage and
\nprocessing. This year we would encourage also workshops focusing on
\npractical applications of research in business\/industry and on joint projects
\nrun by industry and research entitites.<\/p>\n

The list of workshop topics is not limited to the aforementioned and we
\nencourage representatives of research and business to submit workshop
\nproposals promoting their achievements.<\/p>\n


\nSUBMITTING WORKSHOP PROPOSALS<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/span>Workshop proposals should be emailed to the workshop chairs:<\/p>\n

The proposal should include:<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>a workshop title
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>estimated length (1 day or 1\/2 day)
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>names, affiliations, and e-mails of PC chairs
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>short bio of the workshop PC chairs, including previous experience in
\norganizing workshops or conferences (if applicable)
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>a (tentative) list of PC (if possible)
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>a workshop main goals
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>the list of a workshop topics
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>preliminary CFP
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>how information<\/span> about a workshop will be disseminated and how papers
\nwill be solicited<\/p>\n

The organizers of accepted workshops are expected to:<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>organize the workshop’s program committee
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>disseminate the workshop call for papers
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>solicit submissions
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>conduct the reviewing process
\n<\/span>\u00b7 <\/span>prepare the final workshop program<\/p>\n

The official language of workshops is English.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT<\/p>\n

<\/b>Workshops will benefit from the ADBIS 2017 organizational infrastructure
\nand receive support w.r.t. registration, badges, lunches, coffee breaks,
\nand publication of the workshop proceedings.<\/p>\n

PUBLICATION<\/p>\n

<\/b>Workshops papers will be published by Springer in ‘Communications in
\nComputer and Information<\/span> Science’.<\/p>\n

We plan to invite selected workshop papers for publication in a journal.<\/p>\n

\n\u00b7 Workshop acceptance\/rejection Notification: January 21, 2017
\n\u00b7 Camera-ready Submission of Papers: June 25, 2017
\n\u00b7 Workshops held: September 24, 2017<\/p>\n

A detailed workshop timeline, i.e., deadlines for submissions, reviews,
\ncamera-ready due, are proposed by the workshop PC chairs, in agreement
\nwith the ADBIS 2017 workshop chairs.<\/p>\n
