Applications are open for the <\/span>Research Excellence Awards<\/b><\/span><\/i> by the <\/b><\/span>IEEE Signal Processing Society Malaysia Chapter<\/b><\/span><\/i>. The awards were initiated to recognize excellent research works conducted in the area of signal processing. Award recipients will be invited to receive the award during the banquet dinner of the chapter\u2019s flagship conference, the <\/span>2017 IEEE International Conference on Signal and Image Processing Applications (IEEE ICSIPA 2017)<\/span><\/i> on <\/span>13<\/i><\/span>th<\/i><\/span><\/sup> September 2017 at Kuching, Sarawak <\/i>(alternative arrangements can be made fo those unable to attend)<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The award categories are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. IEEE SPS Malaysia Best PhD Thesis Award 2016,<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n
  2. IEEE SPS Malaysia Best Masters Thesis Award 2016, and<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n
  3. IEEE SPS Malaysia Best Signal Processing Journal Paper Award 2016.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
    Please see the attached for more details on the criteria as well as for the application forms. <\/span>All<\/span> <\/b>submissions must be received by email at <\/span>Loges@ieee.org<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a> latest by 11.59pm (Standard Malaysian Time) on <\/span>31<\/span>st<\/span><\/sup> May 2017<\/span>.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
