These Prizes underscore the commitment to mustering the application of relevant contemporary scientific advancement for the socio-economic welfare of its Member Countries by rewarding excellence among the academic and research institutions. IDB is pleased to invite nominations for the IDB Prizes for Science and Technology 16th Edition (1439H\/2018G). The prize consists of three (3) categories:-<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>(i). Outstanding scientific or technological contribution to the socio-economic development of a member country.<\/p>\n<p>(ii). Outstanding contribution to any of the following scientific disciplines;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Agriculture<\/li>\n<li>Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Biotechnology<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology<\/li>\n<li>Optronics<\/li>\n<li>Material Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Pharmaceutical<\/li>\n<li>Industrial Microelectronics<\/li>\n<li>Nanotechnology<\/li>\n<li>Alternative Energy Sources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>(iii) Noted scientific research institutions in IDB least developed member countries (LDMCs).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Faculties \/Departments\/Centre of Excellence of UTM are highly encouraged to apply for the prize. Applicants can fill in an electronic version of the application form on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.isdb.org\/irj\/go\/km\/docs\/documents\/IDBDevelopments\/Internet\/English\/IDB\/CM\/Cooperation\/Science%20&amp;%20Technology\/Programs\/IDB%20Prizes%20for%20Scince%20and%20Technology\/ScienceAndTechnologyPrize.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IDB website link<\/a>. All the information must typed in font size 12. Hand filled applications forms will not be accepted.
