Assalamualaikum..hello everyone! It is such a pleasure again to write this post on January 2023, oh my god!! It’s already 2023 and I haven’t updated anything yet on this blog! I have slept for too long in 2022 without realizing the things I should do in order to keep this blog running all the time. Yes it’s quite a hard time keep track of all my social journey from Facebook, Instagram, tik tok..I mean which one do I have to update my post first? Would you be so kind to help me with the situation I’m currently in? Aah..please let me know guys?

Okay, to be honest, the year 2022 has been a new journey for me, especially with the latest project called Virtual Lab and I am part of it now. Yes..I am indeed quite shocked when my Boss chose me to be part of this team. But the best thing before we even started this long-term project became truly official was, the support system that we got from another department that shares their knowledge in this field, particularly from MaGICX. They gave us a tutorial on how to use virtual tour software called 3DVista. I’m truly amazed by this app knowing it can develop a virtual tour by using a 360 camera or even the best feature is, developing a website entirely made with this software and incorporating the use of virtual tour features. Just imagine, for example..the UTM website reinvented with the use of a 360 camera around the campus, everything will be a new experience, especially for future students who want to further study here. So, technically they have visited the campus virtually before they start their study here, right?

So, the real deal in developing virtual lab into reality is none other to really have the ability and a set of skills of 3D modelling and animation. To be exact..one need to muster the skill of a software called Blender for modelling and Unity, cross platform game engine. One need to master 3D modelling first before jump into Unity and this of course will take a lot of time and effort to put into concentration in order to make things work.

Well, it looks like this is going to be a long road ahead of me. We still have our core project which is Micro-Credential and MOOC in our hard drive waiting for editing, correction, rendering and finally publish to the web. Hopefully, the virtual lab project will of course stay on its track with reasonable date and time to get things up and running. Though I won’t be able to jump into Unity but for sure I can make it work in 3D Vista.
