Assalamualaikum..Hello everyone!

As we swiftly approach the end of 2023, December is drawing near. This month typically ushers in the familiar rainy season, often extending into January 2024. Such weather is a common occurrence in Malaysia, being a tropical country in Southeast Asia, as well as in our neighboring nations like Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The gentle sound of raindrops touching the earth has been echoing for billions of years. In comparison, my eighteen years of service at UTM may seem relatively short, but each moment is a step in the journey toward a hopeful future.

Yes, I’ve been in the same role since 2005, and during this time, I haven’t had the opportunity to switch to another department. Initially, I didn’t dwell on this circumstance as my focus was deeply rooted in the routines of working through the production and post-production phases, with no clear endpoint in sight. However, I’m content with it, acknowledging that it’s a natural aspect of working in the video production environment. FYI the 3 phases of production in video project is the standard of which all of video producers adhere to. Be it, feature film, short film, drama, TVC they all follows the same standard compliance. The difference lies only onto the size, duration, budget, of any given project.

After some introspective moments in solitude, I’ve arrived at a decision to trust my own judgment regarding what I believe is best for my future. Despite the seemingly abrupt nature of this choice, it is rooted in my lifelong commitment to the video production and post-production realm. I wish to express to all of you how this journey has profoundly influenced the person I have become today.

I currently hold the position of Penerbit Rancangan, and I genuinely wish to keep this role until my retirement. In government organizations like in RTM for example, many employees spend their entire careers in the same position, holding the title of Penerbit Rancangan from the beginning to their retirement. Despite the monotony of staying in the same department, like RTM JB, I find it satisfying if the job duties remain consistent. While there may be occasional career advancements, awards, promotions, and modest salary increases, what truly matters to me is the joy, laughter, and good relationships with my colleagues. That, to me, is invaluable. I prefer a work environment that brings happiness rather than the opposite..

You probably have an idea of what’s on my mind right now. I’m thinking about opening new doors of opportunity as a Penerbit Rancangan, maybe somewhere else. Let’s catch up again soon allright!
