Kamalahasan Achu PhD, MSc, BSc(Hons) is senior lecturer in Real Estate in the Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. He was a property valuer by profession prior to joining academia. He obtained a PhD in Real Estate and Planning from the University of Reading, United Kingdom. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in valuation, professional practice, property management and corporate real estate. Dr. Kamalahasan has published in various academic and professional journals such as International Journal of Real Estate Studies, The Malaysian Surveyor, Pacific Rim Property Research Journal, Property Management, Jurnal Teknologi, Planning Malaysia, International Journal of Built Environment and Sustainability and Journal of Risk and Financial Management. He is an editorial board member of International Surveying Research Journal (ISrJ) published by the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM)<\/a>. Dr. Kamalahasan has served various professional associations including RISM as a councilor as well as a committee member of Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents and Property Consultants in the Private Sector Malaysia (PEPS)<\/a> Johor Branch.
