The following code on the semi-empirical mass formula (SEMF) to calculate binding energy of even-even nuclei within the stability line was developed by a group of students as part of their assignment for my Nuclear Physics class.
The code which was written in Fortran 90 can also compares calculated values to experimental data but only limited to those along the stability line. Slight modifications to the code can be made to allow comparison for odd-mass nuclei and nuclei away from the stability line. Other modifications to the code can also be made for e.g. to compute the neutron or proton separation energies.
The code posted here was developed by Kelvin Lee Kai Wen, Siti Arissa Nadia, Nurul Alia Asmida and Intan Najiha.
