An International Symposium organised by The Asian Federation of Biotechnology Malaysia Chapter had been conducted at The Everly, Putrajaya from 20-23 October 2019. Many international and local researchers and postgraduate students have shared their biotechnology-related project during the conference. My student, Ms Song Yu Qing also presented her work on phytoremediation. Check out some of the photos during the conference below!

Internship Visit 2019

Internship visit and evaluation: 6 & 7 August 2019.
Five students from Department of Biosciences and one student from Department of Chemistry were evaluated.
Below are the companies/ institutions involved:

Bioethics Canvas Competition

A canvas competition has been conducted among the Second and Third-Year students taking Bioethics in Research and Development course (SMBB 2193 and SMBB 3193). The event was held at Al-Dinawari Hall T02, Faculty of Science UTM on 30th April 2019.
More than 200 students took part in this competition. Four lecturers (Dr Fazilah, Dr Farizal, Dr Helmi, and Dr Wan Rosmiza), together with three invited judges (Dr Nurashikin, Dr Razauden and Dr Nurriza) involved as panel of examiners. Students were required to prepare their canvas based on the topics they learnt in class. Four best canvas prizes were awarded to the top four groups from each sections. Students enjoy this active learning so much! Well done!
