Welcome to my page! I am Dr. Mastura Ab Wahid, proudly representing the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in the vibrant city of Johor Bahru. My research passions lie in the exciting realms of Flight Identification, Aircraft and Drone Guidance, Navigation and Control, as well as Rocket Engineering. I completed my PhD at the esteemed Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile in Toulouse, France, where I specialized in aircraft guidance, navigation, and control. Additionally, I hold a Master’s degree in Aeronautical and Space Systems from the renowned Institut Sup\u00e9rieur de l’A\u00e9ronautique et de l’Espace, also in Toulouse, France.<\/p>\n

Currently, as a Senior Lecturer since December 2015 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Skudai, Johor, I leverage my extensive knowledge in Aircraft Control, Navigation, Guidance, and Aviation Management to inspire and challenge undergraduate students through high-level courses. My research endeavors encompass the design, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), rocket technology, and the integration of sensors with Arduino and Matlab.<\/p>\n

I take great pride in mentoring students through real-world industrial challenges, guiding them to devise innovative solutions. Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I am deeply passionate about mentoring the next generation of engineers. I believe in fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment where students can truly thrive and innovate. My mission is to ignite curiosity and creativity in my students, encouraging them to explore the vast possibilities within the field of mechanical engineering. Additionally, I am actively involved in community outreach programs that promote STEM education among young learners. Together, we can shape a brighter future for technology and engineering.<\/p>\n
