Biography

 Mat Naim Bin Abdullah @ Mohd Asmoni

Naim’s holds a Diploma in Quantity Surveying from UTM and completed his BSc. in Quantity Surveying from University of Glasgow Caledonian, United Kingdom. He has a Master of Engineering in Construction and PhD in Facilities Management, both from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and in the area of Project Quality Management System. He is also a NIOSH certified trainer for Safety Induction Course (J-SCW0200-B) and a Certified Quality Auditor (S3G AQ01:T01046.15). He has vast working experience in the construction industry. In his early employment, he worked as a Quantity Surveyor with a quantity surveying firm and local construction company and a Contract Manager with an international construction company. He had also served as a Manager at the Construction Industry Development Board for the Southern Region. He started his own business in the year 2000, focusing on the safety induction training for the construction workers. Partnering with a professional engineer to expand his business, he then established a new firm, QSE Consultant, providing new services i.e. field and lab testing, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, Online Construction Management System and Project Quality Plan. In 2004 he joined a Kuala Lumpur based quality consulting company to set up the Quality System for the construction of Integrated Custom, Immigration and Quarantine Complex in Johor Bahru that cost approximately RM2 billion. In 2006 he joined Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and at present, he is a senior lecturer at the Department of Real Estate, Faculty of Geoinformation and Real Estate.
