A GEOINFORMATION-BASED SEARCH AND RESCUE SYSTEM \u2013 PATENT GRANTED!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After five years of waiting<\/strong>, it\u2019s finally official \u2013 our invention \u201cA Geoinformation-Based Search and Rescue System\u201d<\/strong> has been granted patent MY-209770-A<\/strong> by MyIPO Malaysia<\/strong> on 2 August 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story of this idea:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It all began in 2019<\/strong>, when this concept won first place<\/strong> at the Kenyalang Mapping Technologies Competition<\/em>. We are all over the media. Unexpected but an exciting experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following year, 2020, I extended the idea into some game-changing innovation, then we went for the patent application. We passed the assessments and got the patent filing. Alhamdulillah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021<\/strong>, it went on to win the Ultimate Grand Prize<\/strong> at the Seoul International Invention Fair<\/em>, beating all global competitors \u2013 the first in Malaysia\u2019s history<\/strong> to ever achieve that. Until now, to the best of my knowledge, no one else from Malaysia has done it again<\/strong>. I am proud to give a speech at the international podium as Malaysian! Malaysia boleh!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now, after years of persistence<\/strong>, 2025, we\u2019re proud to see it finally granted<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This system empowers search and rescue missions through real-time communication and geospatial coordination among victims, teams, vehicles, and drones. A true step forward in disaster response tech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
