Assalamualaikum wrmth<\/span>. Hello everyone!<\/p>\n

Noorminshah<\/span> graduated for her undergraduate study at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She had been exposed to developing web based applications since her Industrial Application practice in 1999. She joined the Information Systems Department at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as a tutor in 2000. She had a year of teaching experience before continuing her studies for MSc<\/span> in Information Systems Engineering at the Computation Department, University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST), Manchester.<\/p>\n

She has very high interest in design<\/span> and development of web based applications, specifically related to online learning. She had initial experience in developing web based applications during her Industrial Application practice in 1999. Later, she has been exposed to the field of online learning while doing her MSc dissertation. She had investigated main issues related to online learning environment at that time and had given focus to the development of online assessments for higher education students.<\/p>\n

She did her PhD at the School of Informatics, The University of Manchester. She worked with Professor Linda Macaulay from the Interactive Systems Design research section in the same school and Dr George Dafoulas from the School of Computing Science, Middlesex University. Her research was\u00a0on investigating interaction patterns in asynchronous computer-mediated-communication.<\/p>\n

Nine PhD students and 4 Masters students have graduated under her supervision. She has led various research projects and won 1 silver medal awards at UTM level , 1 gold award at the National level and 1 Silver Medal Ward at the International level. Her current research interest is on IT as a catalyst for consumer wellness informatics and business digital transformation.
\nShe is currently the IT Manager at the office of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation). She was the Secretary of Malaysia Association for Information Systems for one term and is a member of IEEE.<\/p>\n
