Mohd Fauzi Abu-Hussin is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Civilisation, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Malaysia. He has been a member of the Faculty since 2011. He is a PhD holder from Durham University with specialisation in Political Economy. He earned his Master degree in Economics and Bachelor of Syariah Economics from University of Malaya. His main research interests include the political economy of the Arab gulf and Middle East countries’ relation with South East Asian, Islamic Political Economy and Islamic Finance. His work has focused primarily on the Arab gulf relation with South East Asian countries, issues of Islamic economics and finance as well as related issues to the Arab Gulf economic development.  He has contributed and presented numbers of articles, essays, chapters in book, conferences, and seminars at both local and international levels.
