Today is my father’s birthday. He was my first mentor in the academic world and he still is. A smart and wise guy, kind hearted and love to lavish us with presents and gifts every time he travels. He is the one who believes in me, who knows my strengths and weaknesses, and the one who actually pushed me to do my PhD\u00a0\"\"?<\/span><\/span>. Prior to my PhD journey, I never went to any preparation course. Being a former Dean in USM, my father was the one who taught me how to “bereh2” with my supervisor,\u00a0who gave me the tips for research writing and who made PhD sounds so easy (for him, not for me!). I remember his favourite questions when I was still in school, “hari ni cikgu besar cakap apa?”, “periksa dapat nombor berapa?”. And now his favourite question is, “Bila nak dapat Prof Madya?”\u00a0\"\"?<\/span><\/span>\"\"?<\/span><\/span>\"\"?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0#<\/span>missionimpossible<\/span><\/span><\/a>
