Academic Visit to Hospital Putrajaya and Institut Kanser Negara
Had a great moment with post-graduate students of Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering, FBME in visiting the Hospital Putrajaya and Institut Kanser Negara on 19th September 2017, both located at Putrajaya . This visit was conducted and organised by Post-Graduate Student Society (PGSS) FBME. A total of 40 PG students from FBME were joined this visit.

INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL DEVICE AND TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE – IMEDITEC2017
Congratulations to the Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering for successfully organised an international conference, called as International Medical Device and Technology Conference – IMEDITEC2017. A total of 78 participants were participated in this prestigious conference. Special thanks to the committee who always put their valuable efforts in making this event success:

Transformasi Negara 50: With minister of higher education
Had a great discussion with our minister of higher education, Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh at Banquet Hall, UTM 8th August 2017.

Program Transformasi Minda (PTM) for UTM new staff
From 6th until 10th of August, I have attended a program in which all new staff of UTM are compulsory to participate. The program have highlighted various activities that emphasis the UTM staff for working in high class level, independently, team work, help each other no matter the position of staff itself, and many more. The activities were puzzle game, building a tower using straw, jungle trekking, etc. If I am not mistaken, a total of 80 UTM new staff were involved in the program of year 2017. Here, I would to share some photos during the 5 days event.
A Grant Briefing by MOSTI at MSN
On 31st July 2017, I spent a day at Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) Kuala Lumpur to having a brief by MOSTI regarding an opportunity to secure research grant. There are two available grants by MOSTI right now, which SMARTFund and INNOFund.
Apart from the brief, we met other researchers from other universities to discuss possible research collaboration between us.
Eid Fitri Celebration 2017 under SITC
Sports Innovation and Technology Centre (SITC), Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering has organised a special Eid Fitri Celebration on 24th July 2017. The food and beverage were sponsored by the staff itself where the special menu is Arabian Rice (Mandy Chicken).

UTM researcher Dr. Jaysuman Pusppanathan wins Falling Walls Lab Malaysia
Falling Walls Lab Malaysia at AIMST University is an international lab and independent partner of Falling Walls Lab Berlin. It is an inspiring and innovative forum which aims at building and promoting interdisciplinary connections between young excellent academics, entrepreneurs and professionals from all fields. Falling Walls Lab Malaysia event took place on 15 July 2017 at AIMST University and in this event 29 ground-breaking research projects, initiatives, ideas and business models from all disciplines were presented.
This event was supported by BUCHI Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. as sponsor partner and EURAXESS ASEAN and Academy of Sciences Malaysia as network partner.
Opening ceremony was officiated by Prof. Manickam Ravichandran, Vice chancellor AIMST University.
After the Jury vote’s evaluation session at 2.00 pm, 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place winner of Falling Walls Lab Malaysia were announced.

Eid Fitri Celebration at Pulai Springs Resort, Skudai
So yeah, this is the time would like to gratitude the top management and staff of Pulai Springs Resort for the invitation. Thank you so very much. My friends and I were invited to ‘makan2’ at Pulai Springs on 20th July 2017. A great moment we have spent together to see other people from different background and at the same time did networking to each others.
Corporate Social Responsibility – My first lecture to SMK Skudai
Having a wonderful day and time with the students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Skudai, Johor on 17th July 2017. We had a great moment where I was ‘transferring’ my knowledge while the student ‘absorbing’ the things that I have. A lecture on how to use Solidworks was conducted at the school in order to somehow ‘breaking the wall’ of the difficulties in using engineering software among Malaysian students.
