My teaching philosophy revolves around the following issues that I believe every lecturer should be able to address to ensure contributions to knowledge. Students are always encouraged to present their own ideas and be able to express high gratitude towards gaining new insights in every aspects of subjects taught at university. The issues are:
Quality of Knowledge
Quality is of utmost importance and a priority in conducting my teaching. The knowledge that I deliver should always be equivalent to the time I spend on selecting only the best materials to be presented to students for classes and assessments. Not to mention, having had known materials that are of interest to students helped a great deal in my preparations to ensure that my presentation would justify the quality of knowledge delivered.
Leading Student
With advanced information on related courses taken by students in each term, students should be able to determine the right study path with guidance from lecturers. I focus on students’ achievement in class as a measurement for my teaching practicality for each course. Lecturers should be able to guide and lead their students to maximise abilities and resources to maintain good performance besides developing good rapport between lecturers and students.
Teamwork
Good communication, ideas sharing, expertise validation and cooperation all leads to a good teamwork which will encourage an effective learning process. These are among the important values that I always try to instill among my students to support the processes in an interactive social development.
Learning Transformation
Students are encouraged to understand the importance of application of learned ideas and processes in new processes. By using given or ready-made information, students should be able to apply their new insights to current knowledge and able to adapt to learning environment.
