A lot of politicians in both parties are suddenly talking seriously about the scourge of addiction now that heroin and prescription drug abuse is taking a toll in rural, mostly white areas. Maine’s Republican governor? Not so much.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are guys with the name D-Money, Smoothie, Shifty \u2026 these types of guys \u2026 they come from Connecticut and New York, they come up here, they sell their heroin, they go back home,\u201d Maine Gov. Paul LePage said during a Wednesday town hall, according to<\/a> The Portland Press-Herald<\/em>.<\/p>\n
