LAS VEGAS \u2014 Probably the biggest surprise of CES 2016 was the return of vinyl.<\/p>\n

Both Sony and Panasonic announced new turntables, and not just for nostalgia\u2019s sake. After a limited release this summer, Panasonic\u2019s Technics SL-1200<\/a> will enter the company\u2019s official product lineup, and Sony\u2019s PS-HX500<\/a> will convert vinyl to high-res digital audio files.<\/p>\n

The return of vinyl is, in my mind, the best example of why CES 2016 was one of the best shows in years: a renewed willingness to meet consumers where they are.
