The “health concerns” that prompted Christian Bale<\/a>‘s exit from the title\u00a0role in\u00a0Enzo Ferrari<\/em> are unusual, to say the least. The actor, who has frequently gone to great lengths in the past to morph his body for different roles, can’t gain the weight he needs to in time for director Michael Mann’s spring 2016 shoot.<\/p>\n

It’s not that the task is impossible, but getting there on Mann’s timetable wouldn’t be a safe process for the 41-year-old actor.<\/p>\n
