If you give a girl the opportunity to code, the tech industry seems to expect her to ask, \u201cWhere are the pink accessories?\u201d<\/p>\n

When it comes to getting girls invested in coding, the tech space has one main tactic \u2014 turning up the ultra-feminine ethos. Whether it\u2019s layering on a veneer of blushed tones or upping the \u201ccute\u201d factor of events, there’s a big assumption that to welcome girls into coding, we need to think pink.<\/p>\n
