If you long for the mighty goon sack to take the place of Queen Elizabeth on an Australian coin, then look no further than “Straya Shrapnel.”<\/p>\n

It’s the latest installment of Aussie currency being given a modern makeover, championed by artist Aaron Tyler<\/a>, the genius behind the wildly popular “Straya Cash.”<\/a><\/p>\n

The coins feature a whole bunch of Australian icons “that I couldn’t fit onto Straya Cash,” Tyler told Mashable Australia<\/em> via email, including those “that people demanded in the comments online.” <\/p>\n

These include rock royalty AC\/DC, actress Toni Collette as Muriel and legendary cricketer David “Boonie” Boon, who was said to have consumed 52 cans of beer on a flight<\/a> to England from Australia, as part of a tour in 1989. Read more…<\/a><\/p>\n
