A body-positive Lane Bryant commercial is causing a minor uproar after TV networks deemed it too\u00a0risqu\u00e9 to air<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 30-second spot, entitled “This Body,” features plus-sized models in scant clothing \u2014 or none at all \u2014 talking about the pride they take in their bodies, and in one case,\u00a0<\/span>breast-feeding a baby.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Among its stars is\u00a0<\/span>Ashley Graham, who was featured on the cover of\u00a0<\/span>Sports Illustrated<\/i>‘s swimsuit issue this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Lane Bryant said the ad has been rejected “out of hand” by ABC and NBC.<\/span><\/p>\n

NBC said in a statement provided to Mashable\u00a0<\/i>that the network did not reject the ad but instead asked the company for “minor edits” so that the commercial would meet its decency standards. ABC declined to comment on the decision.<\/span> Read more…<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
