LAS VEGAS \u2014 Well, that went over like a lead balloon.<\/p>\n

Screening Room, Napster and Facebook co-founder Sean Parker’s proposal to bring new movies into homes for $50 \u2014 the same day they hit theaters \u2014 got a round of loud boos and hisses this week from the biggest of bigwigs at CinemaCon.<\/p>\n

News of Parker’s business model\u00a0leaked last month<\/a>, right before the annual convention of Hollywood studios and cinema owners, who for some time have been fussing over theatrical windows \u2014 that traditionally 90-day period between a film’s first appearance in theaters and its home video debut.<\/p>\n
