LONDON \u2014 Commuters in London are being asked to disobey one of the key rules of the Underground: Keeping to the right on escalators to allow others to walk down them. And predictably they are having none of it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Transport for London (TfL) is trialling the new “standing only” rule for three weeks at Holborn Tube station in a bid to improve congestion and stop bottlenecks. Under the new regime, passengers are asked not to walk up two escalators at the busy station.<\/p>\n
