If Castle<\/i> gets another season, the show will be going forward without one of its stars.\u00a0<\/p>\n

ABC has confirmed a Deadline report that Stana Katic \u2014 one half of the duo at the center of the ABC procedural \u2014 will no longer be a part of the show if the network decides to renew it for a ninth season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Katic’s departure reportedly comes as ABC lightens the show’s load to prepare for a renewal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fellow female longtime cast member Tamala Jones will also be exiting the series at the end of the current season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
