Joss Whedon is back \u2014 and there’s a lot he wants to say.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At a Tribeca Film Festival chat with Mark Ruffalo on Monday, the director opened up about his career and new movies he’s got coming up, frankly discussing some of the highs and lows of his recent work. Naturally, the conversation turned pretty quickly to\u00a0Avengers: Age of Ultron<\/i>, the last film he directed that took a tremendous toll on him (he’s said before it\u00a0“broke” him<\/a> a bit).<\/p>\n

Though Whedon is “proud” of the massively successful Marvel movie, there were “things that did not meet my expectations of myself.”<\/p>\n
